Elf on the Shelf Offering a Swarovski-Adorned Scout Elf for $5,000

This year marks the 20th anniversary of the Elf on the Shelf phenomenon, and The LumiStella Company is teaming with Swarovski to offer a “luxury edition” Elf on the Shelf that features 4,500 hand-placed crystals.

To get one, along with a Certificate of Authenticity affirming that Santa has signed off on his Elvis-inspired look, it will run you $5,000. Only a handful of them will be made.

The Luxury Elf is also ultra-limited in quantity. According to a press release, there are only 10 deluxe packages, which include the Elf along with a number of accessories and add-ons, will be made worldwide. The Lumistella website claims it’s 25. Either way, that isn’t many. Last year, there were more Elves on the shelves of my local Target than that.

The website, where you can order yours, tells us that it’s a collector’s item and to keep it out of the reach of kids under 15. Of course, I always thought the elves weren’t supposed to be touched by kids anyway.
